Which one is correct?
I was working so hard that I completely lost track of the time.
I was working so hard that I completely lost sense of the time.
Why not the second?
Because we don't say it.
We could say I lost all sense of time, but to me that is a bit more than not realising it's 3pm already.

For me, "completely lost sense of time" sounds almost psychotic. "Completely lost track of time" is a way of saying that one was so focused that one did not realize how much time had passed.

That's what I meant. Imagine someone without a clock in a room with no windows, like some prisoners. After a while, they could easily lose all sense of time.
I'm a bit discombobulated.
