I need signatures for/from the paralegal department

I have a document that needs to be signed by various departments at my work. This is a new job for me, so as I'm walking around the office building, I ask my colleagues this:

"Hello, sorry about bothering you but, I'm trying to get signatures from the Paralegal department."

    VS

"Hello, sorry to bother you but, I'm trying to get signatures for/from these two departments." - I'm saying this as I point to the blank signature lines on the document.

Is the 1st sentence? But what about the 2nd sentence.

    Thank you!

Re: I need signatures for/from the paralegal department

In the first, I would use sorry for bothering you. In the second I would use from. Then both would be fine for me.

I know you're saying that, Batman, and not writing it, but there should be no comma after 'but'. In speech you wouldn't pause after 'but'.

    PS. Great title!

What about a comma before but?

Sorry- I missed the comma. I would place it before but too.
