why we are all part of the masterplan

Hi, I am a big fan of Oasis, and I have a question.

In their song, "the masterplan", there is a lyric following

"All we know is that we don't know what is gonna be
    please brother let it be
Life on the other hand won't let you understand
why we are all part of the masterplan"

I don't understand why the "why" is there. Without it, it seems perfect.
Or...something is missed? If the sentence is like "(that is the reason why) we are all part of the masterplan ", then it sounds good.

Am I right? I need helps.

    Thanks!

Re: why we are all part of the masterplan

Oasis lyrics, in common with many other song lyrics, make very little sense.

    I am not a teacher.

It is very unusual to say "a lyric" except when talking about poetry.

When referring to the words of popular songs we normally say "the lyrics".

For your question about a particular part of the song you could say,
"In this extract of the lyrics..." or simply, "There is a line in the song..."
