    "regional discrimination"

    Hi,

We know that discrimination against certain races is called racial discrimination. So what about discrimination against people from certain places?
Is it more proper to call it "geographic or regional discrimination"?

    Thanks!

I've never heard either term used, but I believe that any listener would understand both.

It seems like a cultural matter rather than a linguistic one. Maybe Americans don't discriminate people by their states or cities, but in China, some people do that.

I agree with riquecohen that your terms would work fine, but I think I would just use regional discrimination if you're talking about discrimination within a country.
