'new' or 'novel' - Which is better?

Hi,
I have a question. Which fragments of sentences is better?

1. ... can be reached to conclusion that over the next year will be maintained the demand for novel solutions which ...

2. ... can be reached to conclusion that over the next year will be maintained the demand for new solutions which ...

There is little or nothing to choose between "new" solutions and "novel" solutions. I've cudgeled my brains and I can't think of a single thing.

IMO, the word order of the rest needs changing:

... the conclusion can be reached that over the next year demand for new/novel solutions will be maintained...

What if the sentence is changed to:
When reviewing [Name of Bank] reports, the conclusion can be reached that over the next few years demand for new solutions will be maintained; these new solutions will be adapted to working ...

Is the sentence correct?
Does the sentence sound naturally?

Some might argue that conclusion don't review bank reports, but it reads OK.

I find a difference between "new" and novel". "Novel" suggests thinking out of the box, whereas, "new" just suggests different from before.
