    had a headache/been having a headache/have had a headache

    Hello everyone,
As I understand N1 means that I don't have a headache any more.
Does N2 mean that I still have the headache?
    Is N3 possible?

1.I had a headache all day.
    2. I've had a headache all day.
    3. I've been having a headache all day

    Thank you..

Yes, #2 means you still have a headache. No, #3 doesn't work.

How about "I've had a headache the whole day"? Does it work? What's the difference between "the whole day" and "all day". Thanks.

There is no difference in meaning.

3 doesn't work, but you could tell you're doctor that you've been having a lot of headaches recently for an unfinished cycle.
