Art is an industry/field. Best noun for this sentence?

    For this sentence
"I love being an artist because the field/industry allows versatility and creativity."

    Which one sounds better? Thanks!

I would suggest that it depends on what sort of artist you are. If you are a professional commercial artist, then "industry" might be appropriate. If you are an amateur, then "field" would be better.
I'm not a teacher of English, but I have spoken it for (almost) all of my life....
