    on his/her advice

    Hello everybody,
    Are the following sentences correct?

    1. I did it on his advice.
    2. He acted on my advice.
    3. I bought this car on his advice.

In other words, can I say "on somebody's advice" when I want to mention that someone advised me to do something? I want to find another way to how to say "he advised me to....."
    Thank you.

    Re: on his/her advice

    Yes, they are correct.
But there's a difference between being given advice and taking it.

    Re: on his/her advice

Is it correct to say "I did it according to his advice" "He acted accroding to my advice" etc?
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

Not a teacher nor a native speaker.

Yes, but that means that you did it the way he advised you to, not simply that you did it on his advice. He must have told you how to do it.

Is "at somebody's suggestion" an alternative?

A suggestion is usually not as strong as a piece of advice. But, yes, in general terms.
