Hello.
I have a question about the usage of quotationmarks and commas in technical writing.
I do not know if the following sentence is correct in terms of the positions of quotation marks, spaces and commas.
Could you correct me if I am mistaken?
- I have “A”, “B”, and “C.”

Thank you in advance.

It's a question of house-style. According to OUP's house-style, which I learnt to apply when I worked for OUP, "...'A', 'B', and 'C..." is right, but the full-point should come outside the quotation mark. Other house-styles are applied elsewhere. 'You pays your money and you takes your choice' - that's an idiom; the grammar is intentional.

There is also "You pays your money and you takes your chances". Different meaning but similar construction and grammar.
