    what's the difference between "competition" and "contest"?
    "plaza" and "mall"?
    "form"and "chart"?

    Much of the time there really is no difference. A competition is a contest, and a contest is a competition. However, contest does not share competition's more general meaning of struggle for supremacy as in the sentence, "Competition between businesses is good for the consumer."

    A form would be a document to be filled in with information, as when applying for something. a chart is something like a graph- pictorial representation of information.

    The main difference between plaza and mall is that mall is more often used to refer to a shopping center and plaza is more often used to refer to an open area in a city.
