    reg. as + noun/adjective

What are the parts of speech of 'as' and 'true' in 'It is accepted as true'? Is 'as' preposition or adverb and is 'true' noun or adjective?

    Thanks.

    Re: reg. as + noun/adjective

I would say that "as" is a preposition and "(being) true" is the object of the preposition.

    Re: reg. as + noun/adjective

Can we say 'It is accepted as true' as the elliptical form of 'It is accepted as (it is) true' or even 'It is accepted as true (as the truth)'?

    Thanks.

For me it is easier to assume that the word "being" is assumed. "True" would then be the adjective complement of "being".
