    ***not a teacher***

Is there any reason why you put the first one in progressive mode? Why not, 'If I'd left early, I would've got there on time.'?

    Re: would have done

It is a past perfect subjunctive with the conditional if.

"If I had left early, I would've been there on time."

    Re: would have done

So there is nothing like "would have been going to do".

    Re: would have done

Sure there is, but that was not your intended meaning.

    You could say something like:

Had I not been sick, I would have been going to school.

Instead of "going to school", you're being "on time."

    Re: would have done

so would have been going to reach is acceptable but what about " If I had left early, I would have had(or been) about to reach there by now" ?

    Re: would have done

No, your intended meaning is being on time.

If I had left early, I would've been there on time.
If I had left early, I would have reached there by now.

    It's as simple as that.

    Re: would have done

No I mean I am on my way to my destination but I have got late and wondering that if I had left early, I would be few meters away from that place.
