    I have a question about the use of "decided".

    Hi, teachers!
    I have a question.

    Is the use of "decided" fine or awkward in the below sentence?

    Frank Bennington was decided to replace the software manufacturer’s retiring chief executive officer.

    It's incorrect.

    He was chosen to replace the retiring officer.
