    by chance etc.

    Dear teachers,

I have two questions to ask:

    No.1
I only know the man by ________ but I have never spoken to him.
    a. sight b. chance

The key is 'a'. Is 'b' also a possible key?

    No.2

He was _________ to tell the truth even to his closest friend.
    a. too much of a coward b.too much the coward
    c. a coward enough d. enough of a coward

The key is 'a'. But I have never learned the structure. Neither was I able to find the structure in my grammar books. Could you please explain the structure to me?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Thank you in advance.

    Jiang

    Re: by chance etc.

1- Sight makes more sense- if you had met him by chance, you'd probably have spoken to him
2 It means 'too cowardly to'
