Hello,

In an American TV serial "House of Cards", Zoe was told that she will be promoted to a new nice position. To her supervior's surprise, she responded, "Can I think about it" ?

Is it wrong to say " May I think about it" ?

Thank you!

"May I think about it" is correct. "Can I think about it" would be widely used.

"May" is correct but "can" is used quite often.
