    Re: Developing writing skills

    Hi Mohamed,

Transcription can help with letter formation and building up information transfer skills as well. It is better for beginner levels with languages that have a different script to English (so Arabic). What kind of writing do you want to do? For example, do you want to write formal essays, letters, emails, formal letters for job interviews? Decide what kind of writing you want to do, then read examples of this kind of writing and notice the organisational features and common language features. Then practice these and ask someone to check them for you. Even if you can't find someone to help you check, the practice will help by itself.

    Hope this helps,
