    Would or happened

    Hi guys,

    Please check this sentence"You disappeared on 16 may so that when loot(I am not sure whether to use would here or not) happened(on 18 may), you wouldn't be in the town"-This is said to a criminal by a police officer after the crime had happened(please check grammer in last entence also).

    Loot doesn't happen. 'Would' wouldn't help; it is till meaningless. Do you mean "You disappeared on 16 May so that when the loot was found/came to light/turned up/showed up/reappeared/resurfaced...[whatever] on 18 May you wouldn't be in town.

    No actually that person got it done by goons. He left the city so that he wouldn't be in the city on 18. what about my last sentence(This is said....) is that right? I have made the changes please reply.

    Have you put any effort into understanding where a sentence ends? You've written all the above as one sentence. How's your written Hindi? Would you put all of that in one sentence in Hindi?

    Looting happens. But i don't think that's the right word here either.
