    2. a sugar ( uncountable noun ) If uncountable, no article or "the"; if countable "a".

I have little confusion about "iron". Since we know that there are some "Vowel" words but their pronunciation is "consonant" therefore we use "a" with these "Vowel" words, example is given below:

    # a university
    # a unity

so it will be "an iron" or "a iron" if we are using indefinite articles.

Not a teacher nor a native speaker.

    An

As far as I know "unity" is an uncountable noun. You should write it without indefinite article.
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

I can't think of any words that start with I that doesn't have a vowel sound.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Boris, "unity" is usually an uncountable noun but not always.
