    am going or will go

Can anyone tell me which sentence is correct?

A.)I am going to visit my dentist this Friday.
B.)I will go to visit my dentist this Friday.

I think A is correct. Because I already have a plan to visit my dentist.

    NOT A TEACHER
Either is OK. Plus 'go to' in sentence B would be redundant.

Re: am going or will go

As you already have the plan, a) would be more common.

I think it is also OK to say "I am visiting my dentist this Friday" because "We can also use the present continuous tense to talk about the future"── quoted from http://www.englishclub.com/grammar/v...ntinuous_u.htm

    Not a teacher.

    Yes, that's correct.

Re: am going or will go

You could also say 'I am seeing my dentist...'.
