    Hi guys,

If I want to watch any channel or programme, but some other person has remote, so what should I say. "Please switch that channel"?

    Re: Switch channel

I'd specify what I wanted to watch.

    'Please put the football on'.

    'Can we watch EastEnders?'

    Re: Switch channel

In BrE, you'll hear "Can you turn the TV over please?" Admittedly, that doesn't specify which channel you now want to watch so it's not much help. "Can you turn over to BBC2/ITV/Gold/SkySports" would be much more helpful.

"To turn over" in relation to a TV does not mean to pick up the TV and turn it upside down!
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
