    How should we read "3:2"?

    Hi,

For example, in a football match the score is 3:2. How do we actually read this score out?

    How about 3:3?

    Thank you!

That would be 3 to 2 and 3 to 3, but I am not used to seeing a colon in sports scores. The colon is usually used in ratios.

The ratio of boys to girls in the class is 3:2 (three to two, 60 percent to 40 percent).

3:3 is usually called "three all" in many games.
