    Know a little of everything

"Instead of being specialized in a specific area (or is there a better word besides area) , such as receivables or payables, I have a better (or broader??) understanding of the overall ______(I don't know which word to use). It enhances my ability to see how an issue is affecting multiple modules when it arises."

I am trying to say instead of knowing everthing in a specific area, I know a little bit of everything. So when an issue arises, people specializing in a specific area tend to see pieces of the issue only, but I know how the issue is affecting each area.

    Thanks

Re: Know a little of everything

I would use a broader understanding.
