    to see business take hit

    Please explain to me why take rather than takes is used in the example below. Thank you

    A veteran of the travel industry who now heads the Egyptian Tourism Federation, he's seen his business take hit after hit as the country's stability unraveled in the wake of the 2011 Arab Spring.

    In the above sentence, "take" is bare infinitive. After certain verbs, including some verbs of perception (e.g. see, watch, hear, etc.), the second verb is used in bare infinitive form.
