My boss is going to introduce me to his partner (CEO in an US affiliate company) on the phone tomorrow .

My boss: John (his partner in US).I'd like to introduce my new staff, Win.
Me: Hi, Mr.... (Then, What else should I say?)

I do not know the culture of US, would appreciate if you could teach me how to say.

Thanks.

I'd just leave it there, absent any context. There's no need to say more at such an initial point. Probably the conversation will develop from there and you will know what to say. If not, there is no harm in keeping silent.

Thanks probus

If we meet new people face to face, we would say something like 'Nice to meet you'. Other than 'Hi' on the phone, if I want to shown respect to the boss, What else can I say?

It is very difficult for strangers to develop a conversation between 2 or 3 people we've never met. You could say. Hi Mr..., nice to meet you. And then wait.

The best I can think of is "Hello, sir." But trust me on this: American business people are not big on formal courtesies. They are big on getting things done.

Can we say 'nice to meet you' on the phone?

Should we say 'nice to talk to you' on the phone?

@Winwin: Yes. The boss wanted to introduce you and this is a meeting (of sorts).

@Matthew: It would be a bit early to use that phrase. At the end of a conversation, it would be fine.
