Compound numerals- Pronunciation(isolation and connected sp)

I have a task from English Phonetics. It says:
Find compound numerals and comment on their pronunciation in isolation and connected speech. Give your own examples.
I saw this topic http://forum.wordreference.com/showthread.php?t=2147871 but there is nothing about isolation or connected speech.

How do the sounds change when we say the words alone (isolation) and when we say them in a chain of words (connected speech)?
