    hinder

I'm exercising in the gym. The metal bar on the floor is

    1) bothering me
    2) hindering me
    3) hindering my exercising

Are all the options correct, please?

    Many thanks.

    Re: hinder

With full stops/periods at the end they would all be correct, but there's a difference between 'bothering' and 'hindering'.

    Re: hinder

    Many thanks, Rover!
    Still can't comprehend it fully.

If that metal bar near me is getting in the way, physically, which word do I use, please?

    Re: hinder

If it is bothering you, it is irritating you in some way.
