Not every female on this planet bakes. And many who bake don't make muffins. People have their specialties.
A woman running for Vice President of the United States is not a "girl."
White hair is a sign of age. One's baking habits have no impact on the whiteness of one's hair.

All that said, we'd have to know what followed to know why asking a man if he can bake is seen as such a sin, even the South, where most men barbecue and their women-folk do the baking.
