    Which one is correct?

    1. I live in a small town near the sea.
    2. I live in the small town near the sea.

    I would choose the latter.

    Without more context, I would use the first one.

    The second one would be used if:
    - The town has been mentioned before.
    - There is only one small town near the sea.
