    Activity and occupation. Possible answers

    Hello all,

there are forms, containing such fields as occupation or current activity.
As I understand "student" is an occupation, but could I write "Studying business administration (Bachelor of Arts)" as an activity? Or maybe something else? Do I have then a choice between those two answers, if the question is "current activity/occupation"?
And what should I write as my "previous activity/occupation"
"getting secondary education", "studying for secondary education" or something else?

    Thanks in advance

Re: Activity and occupation. Possible answers

I've never seen "activity" on a form. What sort of form are we talking about?
I have seen "activities", ie hobbies, pastimes. If you write 'student' in both the 'occupation' and 'activity' field, you might appear to be a boring person.
Under "current activity", I would write "filling out a form"! Could you elaborate a bit more? What is the form for?

Hey, Thank you! It's a form for an application for a Canadian student visa.
It's one question "Current activity/occupation", not two, so it should be either an activity or an occupation as I understand.

I'd say it means "Tell us your occupation. If you aren't working, what do you do with your time?"
So "Student" would be a valid answer, but you can add more details if you want to.
