    Exclamation recognise foreign qualification

    Hello All,
    What does 'recognize' and 'qualification' mean in the following sentences?and please give me the corresponding definition in the below linkss.

    Does your government recognize foreign qualification for school teachers?
    The universities recognize the school-leaving exams of most other countries.
    And what is the meaning of sentence?

    Definition #2 in the first and #1 in the second.

    In the first sentence, I'd use qualifications.
