    "took a right turn off"

    Hi everyone

    I have a question.
"He took a right turn off US 41 in Fort Myers."
What does "took a right turn off" mean?

Does it mean that he was driving on US 41 and then made a right turn to leave US 41?

    Thanks for your help!
