No. There is a "#" at the beginning.

    Re: Figures of speech.

"#" is just the bullet please ignore it.

    1. Michel is as intelligent as Christina is.

    Re: Figures of speech.

That's fine. It would also be fine without the "is" at the end of the sentence.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

There's no need to put 1. when there's no number 2.

    Re: Figures of speech.

Little confusion... As far as I know that there shouldn't comparison between the same kind things like:

    Human and human:

    1. Michel is as intelligent as Christina.
    2. John is as intelligent as Christina.

    or we can compare.

    Re: Figures of speech.

You are wrong in that belief. I would say, though, that we are not comparing human with human. We are comparing one level of intelligence with another level of intelligence. Both those levels happen to belong to humans in your example.

Charlie is as intelligent as his sister, Clare.
Charlie is as intelligent as his dog, Ben.
My hamster is as intelligent as your brother.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    Re: Figures of speech.

We make comparisons about people all the time. But we compare traits, attributes, and behaviors, not the humans themselves.

    John is taller than Sam
    Mary is nicer than Sue.
    Fran is prettier than Mabel.
Joe is a better architect than William.
