    2. Motivation for excellence
    3. Pursuit of excellence
    4. Pursuing excellence

    That's impossible to say without a sentence. 1. is definitely wrong. 'Motivation' doesn't mean 'Persuance/Pursuit'.
    3. and 4. are good phrases.
