    I'm a fundamental learner of English.
    How can I advance in listening?

    Film and TV are both good. Music is OK, but songs often use artifical and unnatural phrasing and pronunciation to fit in with the tune.

    Watching the news (BBC or CNN) would give you the best approximation to "standard" pronunciation and grammar.

    I think pronunciation is not very important because I can find it in a dictionary.
    When my teacher plays the listening in class I don't understand, This is my problem.
