    usage of the word ''yet'' in this sentence

    Hello,

    I am currently writing my essay about private schools in South Korea and I have been struggling a lot with the usage of the word yet.

    The sentence is: Others are not capable of providing money for their native English speaker employees yet hiring them to teach in their hagwon.

    What I am trying to say:

    some other private schools are not capable of providing money to their employees but they are still hiring them to teach English in their hagwon.
    hagwon = private school

    Is this the correct usage of yet?
    also, does others sound informal?

    Thank you in advance

    Re: usage of the word ''yet'' in this sentence

    What you are 'trying to say' is better than the sentence with 'yet' in it.

    Is "yet" used correctly?

    Yes.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
