Can anybody help me [STRIKE]in understanding[/STRIKE] to understand the basic reason (no quotation mark required here) why we don't use [STRIKE]thw[/STRIKE] the word "to" before home? For example, "I'm going to home" is incorrect while "I'm going to bed" is correct. Why? What's the reason for that? Thanks.
Please see my corrections to your posts. It is important to follow the rules of written English:
- Start every sentence with a capital letter.
- End every sentence with a single, appropriate punctuation mark.
- Always capitalise the word "I" and proper nouns (English, Shakespeare, London).
- Do not put a space before a full stop, comma, question mark or exclamation mark.
- Always put a space after a full stop, comma, question mark or exclamation mark.
- Do not put a space after an opening quotation mark.
- Do not put a space before a closing quotation mark.
We don't join sentences with strings of full stops (.....) as you did. You should also concentrate on the use of apostrophes.
