    Has and have

I found the following sentence in a grammar book.

"All but one boy ( ) already eaten lunch."

My answer is has but the model answer is have.

    May I know the reason?

    Thanks.

    Re: Has and have

"All" is the subject of the sentence. It is plural in this context. So it takes "have" as a verb.
