When you use "proceedings" to mean "the official written records of a meeting, society etc", what's the right verb for it?

He will write/make/prepare/(or something else) the proceedings...?

We don't use "proceedings" like that.

The official written records of the proceedings of a meeting etc are the minutes.

The secretary takes the minutes or reads the minutes of the last meeting.

At least in AmE, "proceedings" can refer to the official record of a conference. It is often different from "minutes". "Proceedings" will contain the papers presented at a conference.

What verb would you use with "proceedings"?

The book contains "Proceedings" from the XXX Conference.

This is the "Proceedings" of the XXX Conference.

I purchased the "Proceedings" of the XXX Conference.

Does the author(?) of the proceedings "write", "make", "prepare", (or other verbs) them?

Usually, the "Proceedings" is a compilation of papers from several to many different authors. The conference or organization "prepares" or "releases" the proceedings.

I would use "record the proceedings", or "make a note of the proceedings", if that's what you mean. Naturally, there are other verbs depending on what you are doing with the proceedings.
