    Please would you correct the mistakes in my sentences.

    If he did win the match, people would treat him like a king. Instead, after his defeat, they scorn him.

    If he had won the match, people would have treated him like a king. Instead, after his defeat, they scorned him.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
