Smile teacher says it's wrong, why? - Thanks for help.

""Help for fins & paws" is a rescue organization in P.P.

It was created to help stray animals who are living ...

The objective is to break the cycle of animal neglect and abuse… "

The 2 underlined words are wrong (as per our English teacher).

Could someone please explain to me why?

    Thanks indeed.

I have no idea why your teacher thinks they're wrong. "Stray animals" is a perfectly acceptable phrase for animals which live on the street. "Animal neglect" and "animal abuse" are also fine.

I'm afraid you will have to ask your teacher direct. Out of curiosity, is your teacher a native English speaker?

One more question - what is "P.P" (the location of the charity)? The charity's name should be capitalised: Help for Fins and Paws.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

Thank you for your kind comments.

    I will ask her.

    P.P. is ficticious (Phnom Penh)

Phnom Penh is not fictitious. That would mean it isn't real, that it was invented for a book or a film etc.

Please come back and tell us what your teacher said his/her reasons were for marking them wrong.

Should it be "which" instead of "who"?

I always use "who" for animals. They are living beings and I put them on an equal footing with people.

The organization's title is a bit strange. Many stray animals have paws; I'm not so sure about fins.

Seconded. Never heard of anyone having a stray goldfish problem. Also, fun fact: Phnom Penh is the capital of Cambodia.

I think it's a great name. When people think of animal charities, they rarely think of sea animals. This charity makes it clear that it is concerned with both aquatic and land animals. If anyone thinks it's not possible to neglect or abuse an aquatic pet, they're very wrong. The charity might also be involved in the rescue of larger sea animals - whales, dolphins, seals etc and, if not involved in rescue, might well be concerned with their general welfare.

It was created to help stray animals who are living ...
What's the rest of the sentence? Stray might not be appropriate for all contexts.
