The following is a part of meeting minutes. This part describes the actual discussion that occurred in the meeting.
Mr.A is the director of a department. Mr.B is attending the meeting as the representative of a section of the department. Some other members of the section are also attending the meeting.
Mr.A: It should be (XXX) because (YYYYY).
Mr.B: We understand/understood.
Mr.A: Next, let's discuss the...(omitted).
Mr. A explained something and Mr.B got it.
Should it be “We understand” or “We understood”?
What I want to describe is a plural (we) and formal version of “I see”.
