    How

I have been thinking about how the interns are all from out of town and will not be familiar with the area.

Please give me some explanations about how in this sentence.

    Thank you in advance!

Please give me some explanations about 'how' in this sentence. The basic meaning, or at least a definite part of the meaning, is 'the fact that'. But there could also be some of the "for what reason" meaning that the dictionary mentions. It is not possible to know the writer's full reason for writing it exactly that way.
