    Teachers. Please help me with this one sentence.

    Iíll make
    you regret this if it is the last thing I ever do.

    I don't get the exact idea of the phrase "if it is the last thing I ever do" in the above sentence.

    It is an expression that is often part of a threat. It says that the person will spend the rest of his/her life making you regret what you did. It is rarely true.
