zero article in introduction referring to all the entities involved

I was just wondering if you used the zero article for both sentences (if there was no difference between the cases with the relative pronoun clause and the propositional one in terms of article use)

(The speaker and his guest are seeing all the eight tigers that the Tamagawa Zoo has given the speaker's zoo)

    (1) You know, we are closely associated with the Tamagawa Zoo in Tokyo. (With no prior context he starts talking about tigers in front of them) Look, those are tigers that the Tamagawa Zoo has given us. They have given us eight tigers since 2002 as they have been downsizing their park.

    (2) You know, we are closely associated with the Tamagawa Zoo in Tokyo. (With no prior context he starts talking about tigers in front of them) Look, those are tigers from the Tamagawa Zoo. They have given us eight tigers since 2002 as they have been downsizing their park.

    Use "the."

Which tigers? The ones from the Tamagawa Zoo.

You could say "Those tigers are the ones that the Tamagawa Zoo has given us" (there are other tigers not from Tamagawa) or "Those tigers were given to us by the Tamagawa Zoo."

    Hi, Barb.

If you, as the speaker, used zero article, would you feel uneasy in this situation? Or, if you heard one of those without 'the,' as his guest, would you imagine there were some more such tigers, tigers from the Tamagawa zoo, elsewhere in the zoo, Barb?

I would NOT use the zero article, so we have to omit that part of the question.

If I heard the zero article, I would assume there were other tigers, presumably from another zoo. It's possible there are additional tigers from that same zoo, but if that were the case, then I would expect "Those tigers are some of the ones ..." or "Those are some of the tigers..."

I wouldn't use it if all 8 tigers were there.
