There is no clear output underlining strong commitment to regain customers' trusts.

    Hello everybody!

During the Review for year 2010, it was found that “as a consequence of quality breakdown and HS issues” the important project for offshore customer had been lost. There is no clear output underlining strong commitment to regain customers trusts.

First of all, I do not think this sentence is logical.

In my opinion, (I may be wrong), the sentence should read:

There is no clear output underlying strong commitment to regain customers trusts.

    in other words

There is no clear output which/that underlies strong commitment to regain customers trusts.

To my way of thinking, the whole sentence means:

There is no clear creativity which/that is a basis for (showing) strong commitment to regain customers trusts.

    or

There is no clear creativity which is a driving force which motivates a person to show strong commitment to regain customers trusts.

Do you find my attempts to find the real meaning of the sentence acceptable?

    Thank you.

No, but the original is heroically... grotesquely bad so you can be forgiven

I think the reviewer is looking for evidence of a commitment to regain the trust [NOT 'trusts', which are financial instruments] of customers.
