Welcome to the forum, Jankamel. Why don't you try to identify the mistakes first? After you post your answers, someone will check them.

Sorry, I can't identify the mistakes. The sentences seem to me correct and sound

1- The window seat is usually the first one taken.
2- The man in the corner's dog began to bark.
3- John said that he wished he had been younger.
4- Ruthless poachers hunt an elephant for the valuable ivory of its tusks.
5- He had only been watching TV twice that week.

As an English teacher, you should know that a sentence must have a punctuation mark at the end. Now they are all correct. Number 2 is a bit awkward; numbers 3 and 5 are correct in certain contexts.

I don't know about other variants of English, but in British English "The window seat is usually the first one taken" is perfectly OK. The others all have at least one error if they are supposed to be standalone sentences.

I forgot to place punctuation mark at the end.
In my book, there is a find-the-mistake question.
These sentences are written as follows:
1- The window seat is usually the first one taken.
2- The man's in the corner dog began to bark.
3- John said that he wished he had been younger.
4- Ruthless poachers hunt an elephant for the valuable ivory of its tusks.
5- He had only been watching TV twice that week.
