    A few sentences

    Hello
Could anybody please take a look at these sentences if they are OK?

    1. I think it is you who (singer) make the song is so well rated
    2. For me you are more of a scientist rather than a preacher.
    3. It sounds more of a tweet than a song
    4. You have played in many movies. But this film is more of an important stage in your carrier ladder, isnít it?

    Thanks

    Re: A few sentences

    No, they are not OK.

Please post them in separate threads with a relevant title for each, such as I think it is you... and more of a scientist.

You want me to create 4 independent threats for each sentence?

    Re: A few sentences

You won't make many friends here by making impertinent remarks in response to a moderator's request.

There are three reasons why we want you to ask about unrelated sentences in separate threads:

    1. You'll get quicker answers. Somebody might want to discuss one of them but have neither the time nor knowledge to deal with all of them.

    2. Somebody may correct one, ignoring the others. This means you will probably have to post again saying 'What about the others?'

    3. Somebody may answer two or more questions. You may have a supplementary question about one answer and somebody else may suggest an alternative answer to the other — whilst a third person may respond to your follow-up question on the first answer and a fourth person may then respond to a previously unanswered question. When different people start to discuss different questions — each possibly generating alternatives and follow-ups — the thread soon begins to get hopelessly muddled and out of control.

Another language forum (WordReference.com) has a strict rule about asking only one question per thread, and moderators there are quick to delete any other questions. We don't want to do that here, but we can understand the reasons for the rule. I hope you do, too.
