    Something like: It sounds rather like tweet than a song.

    I wanted to use 'more of a'. I know it works in this sentence: You want to work as a marketing assistant, Karen, but it is more of a desk job.

    So why can't I say: It sounds more of a tweet (meaning: that is not a song but tweet)

    I would say "It sounds like more of a tweet than a song". If the context is not birdsong, I don't know what it means.
    Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

    You could also say It is more a tweet than a song.
