It's an office in which taxi drivers wait for the costumers to call. What is the name of this office?
Thanks

In the UK it's a taxi office.

In the US it's called a taxi! Most cabbies wait in their cabs until the dispatcher calls them. The 'dispatcher' sits by the telephone; the taxi drivers usually spend very little time in the dispatcher's office.

At the end of each working day you have to spend some time in the taxi office in order to file your report and hand over the money.

That's fair enough but the OP asked about where taxi drivers sit waiting for customers to call. Like Amigos4 said about the US, in the UK they usually stay in their car and wait for the despatcher to come on the radio and tell them where to drive to next.

We have minicab offices in the UK. Minicabs are different from regular taxis- you cannot hail them in the street, but must contact them through an office or by phone.

I know that the minicab system works in London (and no doubt other places). In the town where I live, you can book taxis by phone or flag them down in the street, regardless of which company you choose. There are only two main taxi companies.

Mine, too. Shame it's not on Netflix.

Sorry- I hope I didn't sound patronising. I gave the explanation for the general non-UK reader.

I have also travelled in Brighton's overpriced taxis.

No, not at all. I simply meant that I was aware of the fact that they operate but have no personal experience of them.
