    winning colleagues heart and attention

Please help me improve this paragraph. I have been waiting for someone to help, please!!
" I was temporarily transferred to one of our company's branch/department, under a new team. The team members were not very accommodating, and were ostracizing me from important communications. I talked to each one of them and asked if I could meet with them individually and informally to discuss what their expectations of me as a team member. I understand their reluctance to welcome me with open arms since I am new to their team. Individually, I discussed the teams objectives and started to build rapport. Before I knew it, we were already very relaxed exchanging ideas.I realize that communications and being yourself, or being honest is very important."
Please help me improve this paragraph. I will be facing an interview next week and I need to excel in my answers. Thank you
